Business Studies

The 70% of teacher assessment will be captured through project work ‘Business CART ‘ - a Continuous Rich assessment Task (CART).

  • Assignments (Written and/or Video Based)
  • Homework (Written and / or Video or Audio Based)    25%

Research (Written Presentation)   10%

Formal Presentations on specified Topics/ Subjects 10%

  •  Advertising (Newspaper, Radio, and Online Video) 15 %
  • Assignment 2 (Video Based) 10 %

-------------------------------------------------------------

  • PRODUCT and PRESENTATION being the examination and weighted at 30%

By the end of the term, each student will be required to prepare his or her  finalized PRODUCT representing his or her own business based on the theoretical work (as mentioned in Unit 4 with all formalities)

Continuous Assessment Rich Tasks (CARTs)

– this is a ‘project’ undertaken over a number of weeks. The project topic is driven by the interest of the student but linked to the Curriculum Standards presented by the teacher.

The CART provides opportunities to develop and measure student skills in research and analysis, information gathering and sorting, against a clear rubric that is presented to students at the beginning of the Process.

The PROCESS is assessed as 'part’ of the 70% of teacher assessment and considered as ‘project’ work.

The PRODUCT and PRESENTATION (if required) is the examined portion and weighted at 30%.
